Water! The Key to Life

Water is my key to life and a gateway to more energy. Water detoxes my system, prevents me from getting sick. One time, I think I had a UTI that was cured by pounding water. No medicine needed. (I am not a doctor…please consult a medical professional). I started drinking tons of water in Junior High, and I fell in love with how it makes me feel.

Four years ago, when I began my personal development journey in 2019, I started getting serious about drinking water. I started off by drinking 1 Gallon a day. I went through about a year when I had 1.5 Gallons per day. It felt really good. I spent a couple years back at 1 Gallon per day. Lately, with my current workout schedule, I have been back up to 1.5 Gallons a day. I have been contemplating trying for 2 Gallons. In 2020, I tried to eliminate as much plastic as possible, and I bought half-gallon glass growler jugs from Wal-Mart. Links below. Now they are $16...inflation is bonkers. Of course I have lost the caps. So I have a link for just the caps too.

Experts from Tony Robbins to Kelly Leveque recommend drinking half your body weight in water per day. This means that if I weigh 250lbs, I should drink 125 ounces of water per day. I use my growlers to measure my progress throughout the day. If you find water boring, try a squeeze of lime or orange (I don't like lemon, but go off girl).

When I first started, I set alarms on my phone for about 4 times a day to remind me to chug water and check my progress. Now, it is a habit, and I don’t need the alarms!

During the summer, when I'm running outside and sweating, I will lose LOTS energy and become completely lethargic. I can't mentally focus and feel like I need to go to bed. That is dehydration! These symptoms stopped when I started using LMT. LMT has the hydration elements (magnesium, sodium, and potassium) of a sports drink without calories, sugar, or color additives. Visit bewellbykelly.com to get a sample pack for free. I buy the chocolate salt because chocolate! Also I don’t get paid for any of these recommendations! These are just things that help me that may help you.

As with all my recommendations, I recommend small changes. If you are new to the water game, start small: drink a glass of water with meals. If you are a water chugger like me, see if you can go just a little more this week. Set an alarm on your phone to remind you to check in with your body. How do you feel? Do you feel any effects from the increase in drinking water?
