Welcome to Digital December! Are you sitting around with your family watching tv while looking at  your phone and telling your kids to get off the Nintendo switch? No one thinks of technology as a holiday topic, but we are not like everyone else!

What even are these tech trends? AI, blockchain, crypto, quantum computing? What is even happening?

If you are not technically inclined or it is not one of your natural interests it is easy to feel a little lost in this space. Once I admit that I am lost and overwhelmed, I get scared. Am I already behind? Is a 19 year old who can code and use Adobe Illustrator going to take my job? These are all natural feelings. But we don’t have to be scared.

Let’s dip our toe in the water and start with the basics. We can conquer our fears with just a little bit of guided research, and then decide if these technologies enhance our lives or detract from it.

My drawer of cords and broken earphones and an external CD-ROM? I need to clean this out!
